Policy

Hydroxide Studio is a wesbite about continuing the creation of custom content and sharing it. However, since a lot of time is dedicated to creating for both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 Hydroxide, the artist of the creations on this website, has requested that the following rules are followed.

1. All items downloaded off Hydroxide Studio, ModtheSims.info and any other place that Hydroxide has uploaded to personally are to be used only when credit is given back to the creator and back to the place you downloaded it from. Preferably Hydroxide-Studio.com.

2. You may use creations Hydroxide has made in your houses uploaded to FREE websites only. If you are an artist whose creations are locked to subscribers/pay-as-you-download systems, then you are not allowed to include these creations within your house. This is directed towards Featured Artists at The Sims Resource. This website has never asked any user for a penny, and doesn't even allow for donations to be made, so it seems unfair if others gain royalties/forced donations if the items downloaded from here are used.

3. You can recolour The Sims 2 meshes found on this site as long as you do not include the meshes within the .zip/.rar or other compressed directory. A link to the mesh, or to Hydroxide Studio is appreciated. Although voluntary. (Note: If you do not link, your downloaders will not be able to find the mesh without searching).

4. You may clone our items if the attributes they hold seem desirable for your project. However, the items on this site are cloned from base-game compatible objects and the attributes were not changed much. However if you do clone, remember to change the GUIDs before uploading anywhere. It wouldn't be nice to override the items you cloned!

5. Use the items found on this site within movies (machinima) or stories of any sort. As long as if people ask where you got the items used; you answer with correct information and a link to Hydroxide Studio.

6. Any problems should be reported. Items on this site are tested extensively, but some things may slip through the cracks - I apologize and am happy to publish that there have been no reported problems with anything found on the site (that have been at the fault of Hydroxide Studio).

Violations of this policy will result in direct contact by Hydroxide.
